Our Design Philosophy...

We design websites to:

Reflect the personality, focus, and vision of the client company...

CyberSlang Internet DesignCompanies work very hard to achieve an identifiable "bricks and mortar" image in today's highly competitive business world...... corporate image is carefully scrutinized, analyzed, developed, and honed. When it comes to creating a viable image on the Internet, companies are often at the mercy of programmers NOT designers. A programmer knows code, but most-often has no concept of how to turn that code into a viable Internet image. A designer rises above the drudgery of code to create a concept culminating in a strong Internet presence.

At CyberSlang, design comes first.... then, our programmers translate that vision into an Internet image.

Present information clearly, concisely, & logically...

CyberSlang Internet DesignOur design staff is experienced in the world of hard copy publishing and editing. These skills allow us to aid our customers in presenting information in a pleasing, easy-to-read manner. Uncluttered, well-formatted copy is always our goal.

Provide visitor-friendly ease of navigation...

CyberSlang Internet DesignPoor website navigational structure is a major cause of visitor frustration, leading to confusion and the potential of just leaving the site. Navigational bottlenecks and dead ends are simply, bad design. Internet users want to be able to find information quickly and efficiently, with as little "clicking", searching, and hassle as possible. Our design staff makes navigational integrity its highest priority, always keeping in mind the needs of the visitor.

Respect bandwidth & load quickly...

CyberSlang Internet DesignEven with today's high-speed ISP connections, digitally "heavy" pages will take time to load, potentially turning away customers. CyberSlang designers create content to load quickly at slower connection speeds, respecting bandwidth, providing information as efficiently as possible.

Be maximized for Search Engine optimization...

CyberSlang Internet DesignTo the layman, the world of Search Engine optimization can be mind-boggling. The major Search Engines utilize varying criteria when indexing sites and these parameters are always changing and continually evolving. Good Search Engine optimization begins with the design of each individual page. Well-constructed, "keyword"-rich, properly "tagged" and coded content goes a long way towards a favorable response from Search Engines. Our designers meticulously program each page to conform to the criteria of Search Engine "spiders".

Be non-programmer reliant...

CyberSlang Internet DesignBuilding complicated, programmer-reliant websites places the customer at the mercy of the design company. The need for programmer input increases site overhead and cuts down on the "bottom line". Our design criteria eliminates this pitfall, and places control of the site in the hands of the customer. Our Contribute-enabled websites offer the client the option of being able to update content themselves, when they want, very economically.

The Design Process

1. Initial consultation with client.

Individual Internet needs of the client are identified, costs are estimated, and the process is thoroughly explained.

2. Site concept is developed.

Our design team creates a site concept, with the goal of producing a unique, functional Internet to represent the client's needs. A test site is set up, allowing the client to view and provide input on all phases of site construction.

3. Addition of content begins.

The test site is constructed page by page, as copy and images are inserted. Usually, copy is provided by the customer, however, if desired, our team can create textual content.

4. Taking care of loose ends.

Final details are taken care of, the site is "proof read", and submitted to the client for final approval.

5. Ready for launch.

The site is launched. Generally, it only takes a few minutes to go "live".

Graphic Design

"Everything you can imagine is real"..... Pablo Picasso

Graphics are a big part of web design. An eye-catching
presentation stimulates interest in the visitor.

Bandwidth is also a major consideration. Images
must load quickly in order to keep the visitor
interested.

Our graphic design department produces
unique, original graphics, creating a vibrant
online presence for each client, while
preserving bandwidth integrity.

Whether it is formatting existing
images for the web, or producing
original artwork, our team excels.

Intelligent Internet Marketing

CyberSlang Internet DesignSuccessful Internet marketing requires time, effort, and careful planning. Often, companies begin their online endeavors without a pre-defined "game plan", resulting in minimal online marketing success.

The keys to conducting business online are much the same as those necessary for a profitable "bricks & mortar" storefront.

  • start with a well-orchestrated business plan
  • create a strong physical presence (bricks & mortar store - well-designed website)
  • bring the customer in through advertising (print, media ads - online Search Engine submissions)
  • be patient and give the business time to mature
  • offer the best service and support to the customer

CyberSlang Internet DesignCyberSlang staff are not only qualified in the areas of design, programming, and technical issues - we have a strong background in business administration and marketing. We believe this separates us from many other Internet design firms.

We are able to develop Intelligent Internet Marketing strategies through the marriage of design, business savvy, and sound marketing principles.

It's All About the Visitor...

CyberSlang Internet DesignIn a "bricks & mortar" world, the customer is always the main consideration. This includes aspects such as the layout of retail space, the displaying of product, and other ways of making customers feel welcome and comfortable.

CyberSlang Internet DesignWhen it comes to marketing on the Internet, these strategies are vital. In Internet design, there are limitless possibilities, so many technologies, and almost unlimited options. The key is to carefully sort through all of these to find the simplest, most effective, and cost-efficient ways to build a storefront in Cyberspace.

CyberSlang Internat DesignOften, the tendency in design is to overdo things - to add too many "bells & whistles", which may confuse and overwhelm the visitor. After all, the more a designer adds, the more the site is reliant on his upkeep, the more he gets paid.

In addition, site owners may impose their own subjective likes and dislikes on the design, sometimes adding confusion and clutter to the equation.

We would never build a physical storefront with too many flashing neon signs, cluttered product displays, and obstructed traffic flow. Unfortunately, this happens all to often on the Internet.

Most Internet surfers value their time and want to:

  1. Feel welcome on a site.
  2. Find information quickly and efficiently.
  3. Be presented with simple, intuitive navigation options.
  4. View fast-loading, well-presented layout.
  5. Feel secure in their online purchases.

CyberSlang Internet DesignOur design staff always takes the above criteria into consideration when developing design concepts for our clients. We believe the Visitor should always be the main consideration.
